If it even works one time out of a hundred in humans, it is worth it. That is remarkable.

I had no idea that mice could type (although the username is a dead giveaway) or that any were on this forum - oh and congrats on the spinal recovery.

According to official statistics, nearly 300,000 people are living with a spinal cord injury in the United States alone. Their lifespan is shorter than people without spinal injury, and has not improved since the 1980s.

I did not know any of that.

And given the population of the US, I'd have thought the number would have been much higher than 300.000.

But if it could work on humans, that would be truly amazing.

I can't imagine losing the ability to stand or walk, or the joy of getting it back.

Your boos mean nothing to me, I've seen what you cheer for.

Insisting on your rights without acknowledging your responsibilities isn’t freedom, it’s adolescence.

When a good man is hurt,
all who would be called good
must suffer with him.

You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.

There is no safety for honest men except
by believing all possible evil of evil men.

And hope is a lousy defense.

You make me pull, I'll put you down.

I *love* SIGs. It's Glocks I hate.

Wow. Friend of mine was an athlete until she became paralyzed from the chest down due to a car accident. She will be thrilled to learn of this, as am I. Similar situation for a woman who worked for me years ago. I hope it's applicable to humans soon.

It won’t be soon. Stuff like this never is.

A cousin of my old roommate was paralyzed. He was (is?) convinced something like this would occur in his lifetime, so he was in some program where he would basically be hooked up to machines that would put his body through a workout so that his muscles wouldn't atrophy. I wonder if he is still doing that.
