Here’s one I went to. The first one for awhile.

Maybe it’s because I don’t have ad blocker.

Yes, a ton of recipe websites with otherwise good content ruin it with a ton of ads and a a tedious 'lifestyle' element.

Serious eats is my go to. NYTimes Cooking is very good but you need to pay for it in some manner. Epicurious is also good but feels less edited to me.

Whenever I can, I stick to familiar chefs. If they've worked for me in the past its more likely to work again.

Wow, cool info on almond flour vs coconut flour. Good to know! Thanks!

My wife swears by allrecipes.com . I swear _at_ it.

Have an ingredient in hand you want to cook something with? Be ready for an onslaught of alternative methods of preparation, recipes that require a fully stocked supermarket outside the kitchen door, or new 'woke' forms of food as hyped by 'influencers' on YouTube.

I just wanted to know how long to cook an acorn squash for pity's sake.

/end rant/

Mac Gourmet

We use MacGourmet Deluxe, my wife likes it a lot. However, it has not been updated in years, and their syncing issue has been there for years. It's as if Mariner doesn't care about the MacGourmet users or the program, they are just into selling new copies as long as they can. There are many complaints from users regarding the syncing. Also, the iPhone version is useless, that doesn't sync at all, there is no way of getting your recipes from your computer to the phone. The previous version at least could be synced using the computer, but the current version took that away in order to force people to buy their cloud sync subscription service.
