I was expecting to receive an iPhone 13 from the Apple store today, but it didn’t happen. Instead, I received an empty box with traces of blood on it and plastic tape from the attempt to reseal the box. I called Apple and to their credit, they offered a refund or a replacement, and I opted for the replacement since I need a new phone. Faster internet will have to wait a while longer.
I just hope Apple is good on the promise.
Carrier was UPS.

Anyone in the shipping business knows exactly what's in those boxes. Worse is what happens to the phones that are 'traded-in'. There are quite a few that never make it back to the mothership. Shrinkage, apparently.

I've been having Apple devices delivered to the local Walgreen's if it's Fedex and the UPS store if it's UPS and then I open the package while the rep is watching. There's never been a problem but I figure that if something disappears having the rep there when I open the package will short circuit any question about me, the customer, trying to run a scam. The rep has never objected to watching me open the package; they seem rather interested in what's going to appear!
