James Webb 'event' causes launch to slip - oops...

Satellites should be neither shaken nor stirred. Launch is bad enough.

""Technicians were preparing to attach Webb to the launch vehicle adapter, which is used to integrate the observatory with the upper stage of the Ariane 5 rocket," NASA said in a blog post. "A sudden, unplanned release of a clamp band—which secures Webb to the launch vehicle adapter—caused a vibration throughout the observatory.""

GULP!

The Webb is (to the best of my research) the single most expensive payload in the history of spaceflight...
I think it's fair to say that if it fails, there would be no new space telescope program started for at least a full generation.
I really want Webb to work!

On the other hand, you're about to launch this thing on a rocket to send it 930,000 miles into space. Surely some vibration has to be accommodated.
