Seeks revenge, apparently not satisfied with the outcome 175 years ago. Getting really gusty here in the Valley - brings up this Chandler passage:

Adiabatic heating occurs too when the Westerlies blow down the east side of the Rockies and make it 90º in the Upper Peninsula (as well as the Dakotas) while it's still 75º in Detroit!

My description here is nowhere as classy as Chandler's, tho...

A throwback image to celebrate Autumn.

We now have two carports.
Don't really have room, so we'll probably give the neighbors theirs back.

Guess one of the old, huge conifers on the next street up gave way and took out part of a house. Roots tore up the gas line, at least that explains the gas smell. Was up in the middle of the night checking pilot lights.

Was blowing really good throughout the night here in Anaheim. My friends that live out in Beaumont said the winds during last night were “special”. burnout smiley

Perpetually incompetent Pacific Gas & Electric and equally incompetent So Cal Edison are shutting down power for up to a quarter million of their customers on Thanksgiving Day. But on the bright side, even though they are convicted felons, they keep making their dividend payments.

60-70MPH gusts out in the backcountry today! But only 21MPH here in the civilized environs… So far.
