Ok, they're talking about agressive wild turkeys.

Was there a video to go with that?

Something was deleted.

I really had 'upvoting' UIs because they often make a thread a drag to follow.

So I don't visit reddit much.

Probably, the initial post to that reddit topic that would have been the link to the video has since been deleted.

Yep, JoeH nailed it. Why they post and then delete is beyond me.

Here's a news story with the video.

Hopefully, they won't delete this one too! smiley-shocked003

The NYT just did a story about wild turks taking over college campuses (they mentioned Cal Poly and U of Minnesota (Twin Cities)):

As Turkeys Take Over Campus, Some Colleges Are More Thankful Than Others

From California to Minnesota to Massachusetts, turkeys have taken a liking to university life, leading to social media stardom and crosswalk confrontations.

They’re apparently getting smarter, tho… wink smiley

I hadn't seen any wild turkeys on the campus I used to work at, but did see them about a mile or two away from the campus where flocks liked to pick through the farm fields. The problem with that is they liked to nest in a wooded area the other side of the highway from the fields. Their crossing would be at very low level, not more than a few feet off the ground. Lots of brake lights and near collisions the several times I encountered a flock doing this.

As for getting into towns, earlier this Fall there were 3 turkeys wandering through my yard one day.
