I'm still thankful I got the AAFES deal you posted months ago for $499

DOH!! Stubborn me, I passed thinking an M1x model would appear.
I now realize if and when it's introduced, the 'base price' will be four figures!

On the + side, I had a $100 Apple promo credit to use, so the refurb
net was $430.

or its should be, but *IF* they will make it -- $1299. basically a 14" MBP without a screen.
