My grandfather worked on the construction of the ESB as an iron worker, and used to tell harrowing tales of walking those beams in the windy afternoons.

Amazing footage.
I do wish people would stop auto-colorizing and posting footage. What's the point of colorizing, if the colors are going to be an ever-shifting rainbow of flickering, AI guesstimates?

Depression era. There were actually people on the ground watching to see a worker fall (often to said worker's death) hoping they could get hired for that job.

Reminds me of Orson Welles' reaction to those who wanted to colorize Citizen Kane: "Don’t let Ted Turner deface my movie with his crayons."
