We all know (and I love) 3M VHB tapes; so here's a couple of other cheap
gizmos I'l recommend. Please add your favorites to the list!

Nano Grip Tape aka Gecko or Alien Tape, a non-permanent alternative to VHB.
1mm X 1.2" X 16.5ft roll is only $4.49 @ bezosville.
I use it for holding stuff down on my desk, the hubs & drives to my Mini, etc.
Great for throw rugs. Only requires a small square to do the job!

Soft rubber wire ties. imho better than Velcro straps or cable ties for
wire bundling, etc. Easy on, easy off, and reusable too!

I picked up one of these at microcenter today for $20 to replace a old cheap chinese power strip I bought on ebay with only 2 USB outlets attached to my nightstand.

Now wonder if it's worth the gamble to drive 40mins. to MC just for that.

The first two are near identical. Both are fabulous. I threw one into my suitcase each time I traveled. I switched to the Tripp Lite Traveler3USB after I discovered it. Takes up a similar amount of space in the suitcase and I like having the cord. Makes it easier to use in tighter spaces, i.e. small hotel room, cabin of a cruise ship, etc. Wouldn't travel without either one of the twins or the second.

The USB ports on all of them are dandy for smartphones through the iPhone 11 Pro and iPads from the iPad 3 through the iPad Mini and for Kindle Fire tablets through the Kindle Fire 8. Can't speak for newer iPhones and other tablets only because I don't own them and haven't used them with the surge protectors.

Well it will replace a 5 or 7 yr old unbranded Chinese power strip with no surge protection at all.

There are 3 items that I use the old strip for - the 2 USB ports for a Lighting Cable for iPad mini 2 or my 2020 iPhone SE (when not on the wireless charger) and USB Apple watch charger and a plugged in Ring Chime for the front doorbell which blocks other outlets.

The Alexa integration and outlets are a bonus - mainly need the different power outlet orientation and could use the extra USB port(s). PLUS the surge protection.

May wait on the 2nd one for the living room -the Alexa Kasa smart plug has be pretty reliable on that lamp.
