Pic of a massive desktop monitor. Anyone else using this setup?

Interesting to imagine what mac'ing would feel like to have this big of a screen. I don't think it's for me (I use dual 25-inchers, which are fine), but it'd be fun to try it out.

I have a 2017 iMac (22") hooked up to an LG 43" display (LG 43MU79-B). I do mostly page layout & forms and typing work, so it works out great for me.

32" for me. I get headaches with anything smaller, including my MBP.

I use a 19" with my 27" iMac. We run Mail on the 19" all the time.

We had a video station hooked to a 55" HDTV at the school. The finished videos were broadcast to classrooms that each had the same TV in them. Made for great consistancy.

I use a 32" 1440p LG monitor shared amongst 3 machines, so I could see using a 40" 4K which is what that looks like. I might pay more attention to color temperature than that person though.

Same setup I have been running for a few years.

30" Apple Cinema Display in portrait mode on the left
2x 34" curvedLG Thunderbolt 3 displays in the middle, one on top of another with the top one pitched at a 20 or so degree angle towards me.
MacBook Pro 16" on a floating platform on my right.

I utilize all the displays all the time and run DisplayMaid to automagically move my windows where they belong on reconnect each time smiling smiley

Good Luck!

Jamie, do you have a 3rd party monitor stand for stacking those two 34s?

I used to have a 3 monitor set up (2x22, 1x24), and switched over to a 40" 4K tv.

It's a little bit uncrisp at the corners (that may be my aging vision), but otherwise it's fantastic for the kind of work I do-mostly creating and manipulating text documents.

I mean, I can have six nearly full size pages up simultaneously! One time I was on deadline, and I was able to move text across all six pages in a flash. My estimate was that it reduced a 1 hour job down to 15 minutes.

The other thing it's amazing for is BIG spreadsheets. Lemme take a look, here...

Ok, it opens up to 30 columns by 59 rows, full screen. For some of my projects, I can use everyone of those rows and columns! No scrolling--what an amazing luxury!

FWIW, it was a $225 Vizio from Costco. This coming year I'll probably upgrade to a Sony 43" 80J--a bit wider, but an IPS screen, so hopefully those corners will be crisper.

I’d need a booster seat or to tilt my head in an uncomfortable position to use the top half.

Just switched from a 20" 2nd screen for a 15" MacBook Pro to a new 16" MacBookPro with a 32" 4K LG. I had to adjust the scaling settings nearly immediately as it became clear I would not be able to read text without leaning forward all of the time.

It's so big that the only configuration I can think of has the bottom left corner slightly hidden behind the MBP screen. It has taken several days getting used to it but I could probably never go back.

When I still worked in the office I had dual 24's up top and an old Wacom 21" Cintiq LCD centered below. Probably a better balance, ergonomically.

Damn, rz. That would be a sight to see, and it's got me thinking. Can you share the make and model?

Dual 32s seem OK to me. Ive posted my 3 monitor setup before -- 70" wide.

If the new big imac comes out, it will stay in the middle. if a new "max" mini comes out, depending on options would replace the imac with a 32" 4K

24" 1920 x 1080, 27" 2560 X 1440 5K iMac , 27" 2560 X 1440 Dell 4K S Series. 7100 pixels wide

quick photo, desk is messy, coming off deadline, big cleanup over break.

and Ive run dual monitors forever, 3 just for the last 5 years. I had this desk starting about 1991 -- with a 90 LB 24" Sony FW900 @ 1920 x 1200 + second 17" Viewsonic screen

I never tire of seeing others' setup, and hearing about individual workflow, file management, keyboard shortcut setups, all that. Great pics.

Not really. Your head would be a lot higher than the back of the chair so worst case you would be looking up only slightly to see the top of the screen.
