RIP Wayne Thiebaud, one of my favorite painters

He did a short stint as artist-in-residence at my undergrad alma mater. I'm happy I had a chance tu catch some glimpses of him at work.

Really like his work. I'm not really into modern art, but his stuff is very good.

Thiebaud also had a long teaching career, serving as an art professor at Sacramento Junior College before joining UC Davis. Retiring from academia age 70, he continued to deliver classes at the latter college in his role as professor emeritus.

Would have been great to have been in one of his classes.
