It’s amazing, there is more coverage about Tesla Model S having a trunk latch issue than there was about Chevy Bolts complete recall because of batteries catching fire.
The proliferation of these articles is still, driven by short sellers trying to short the stock.

Here is the full content of the recall notice from Tesla. Since Tesla prefers to employ mobile repair, the majority of these will be taken care of where you live or where you work, they come to you to fix these things.

Tesla has decided to proactively recall certain model year 2014-2021 Model S vehicles for inspection of the trunk's secondary latch. Our records indicate that your vehicle(s), 5YJSA1E21GF166XXX, may be affected by this recall.
On these vehicles, the latch assembly may be positioned too far back, preventing the secondary latch from properly engaging the trunk striker. If the trunk is inadvertently released while driving and the secondary latch is not engaged, the frunk may open without warning and obstruct the driver's visibility. If the frunk is inadvertently released, the driver will receive an alert on the user interface. We are not aware of any crashes or injuries relating to this condition.
Please schedule a service appointment using the Tesla app by selecting ‘Service’> ‘Request Service’ > ‘Other’ > ‘Something Else’ and in the ‘Describe Concern’ field, enter “Open Recall Repair – MS Frunk secondary Latch & Striker". At your appointment, Tesla Service will inspect your vehicle and perform any necessary repairs, free of charge.
Thank you for being a Tesla customer, and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Or maybe it's proportional to market cap.

Chevy (GM) Market Cap: $85.123B

Tesla Market Cap: $1.061T

Everyone is hyper critical of the good guys. Everyone jumps on Apple, especially when it is a non-event/issue.

Exactly, all of us here have seen how Apple was always targeted just because they were, well, Apple. You'd think we'd know better.

Tesla is not "the good guys."

By various accounts and many MANY legal filings that have made the news, they abuse their workers with required unpaid overtime and penalize them for taking sick-leave or family-leave, remove safety device and markings, ignore other safety regs, hide data about the number of injuries on the job -- and they are union-busters; they exploit their customers to collect a massive amount of data from every vehicle; they sell expensive vehicle "upgrades" that are just unlocking features already present but disabled and when a seller sells the car they revoke those "upgrades"; they have a culture of racism and misogyny and anti-LGBTQ+; Musk blatantly manipulates the stock price with false or misleading statements and Tweets; they violate environmental regs internationally; they attack former employees to keep them from working for competitors; they push dangerous robotic driving features that they're testing at the expense of their customers' safety and people's lives... Much more that I'm forgetting, I'm sure.

The cars are cool (and are rapidly being overtaken by much cooler cars) and the battery-tech was innovative. That doesn't make the company or their leadership "good."

It's human nature to misconstrue economic success as a signal that the someone is better looking, smarter, and moral, but this is almost never the case in real life. More often than not, they're simply sociopaths. Don't glorify them.
