Bluetooth question

If I am sitting in my car listening to music from my iphone through Bluetooth, is there a way to silence other phone sounds? Like games or even this typing? If I adjust the volume, everything lowers…including the music.

We use the car's wired USB connector instead of BT, and it seems to avoid/cut down stray sounds w/ iPXr and iP12m (haven't tried w/ iP6s+).

For music, we gotta cycle thru on-screen options, or push button on dash to engage, so no real ease-of use or time saving option. What kinda car and audio set up are you dealing with? Maybe try cycling thru all the available choices, and see/listen to if any cut down on stray sounds, then stick w/ it.

Yeah. I gotta have my steering wheel controls. But I suppose I can turn down the volume on individual things, like games. I just like not having to think about it. It seems like thats something Apple would think of. If I'm listening to music through my car stereo, why in the world would I want to hear sound effects from other extraneous things happening on my phone?
