I had forgotten I had ordered a charging pad…

Just YESTERDAY!

Gonna scour the AT&T site for AC adapters now. Thanks to the original poster who hipped us to the deal!

Wave,

If you're going to buy a charger, spend the bucks and buy something worthwhile and usable for more than just the charging pad.

Consider an AC adapter from RAVPower:

Or similar models from Anker, easily found on Amazon.com.

Or something even more flexible like:

Tripp Lite makes a model that is near identical to the Accell surge protector.

I've got a couple of each on hand. Great for home, great for travel.

I've been carrying one of these around ($6 cheaper here...) forever for awhile, along w/ a 12" pass-thru pigtail AC cord (6" pigtail shown, but same idea w/ pass thru...).
Gets the job done w/ greatest aplomb.

Plenty of options fer ya. I like the modestly sized two piece option, as some situations don't need the pigtail. I got the 12" pass thru pigtail as part of a multi-pack from a daily deal site a long time ago, but quick google fu came up 6" short for display purposes here....

Turns out my powered Anker USB 10 porter has one marked 10W. Seems to work OK.

For some reason, I thought there might be a "magnetic snap" to the pad, but no, only gravity. I wonder if the pads use some phantom power when not engaged in charging a device?

I picked my three charging pads up from the PO today.

That was a really fast delivery.

I'm sure there's some parasitic loss when not in use.

It works well for my 12 mini, though I've yet to try a 5W Apple charger.

I'm thinking a more studly PD charge is needed only to charge at QI level, which of course would be faster.

But having a pad in one or two places where the phone may laze about when not actually in use, will at least keep it from losing charge, and probably charge it some, if over a lengthy time.

I like that an LED lights up when the pad is charging the 'Phone.

It will reduce if not eliminate the likelihood of the 'Phone not getting charged because it wasn't correctly aligned by a smidge.
