What The H*%^# Does This Mean Amazon?

Says package was delivered---left in mailroom??? I don't have a mailroom at my house.

Does this mean the USPS mailroom and they will deliver it or what?

UPDATE:
Packages were in my mailbox (looks liked the final hand off was to the USPS) when I checked for mail this morning. Of course last Saturday Amazon said a package was delivered when it was not delivered to my house. Fortunately, a neighbor came by Sunday morning from the street behind our street and gave me my package saying it was delivered to his house. I believed the package was another hand off to the USPS. How in the world they could deliver it to the wrong street is beyond me.

I had two bottles of 81mg aspirin delivered to "reception desk". I searched my
home and could not find said desk.
AMZ never found the package, full refund. (This was an AMZ delivery, their truck)

Have you looked for the package? It might be in your mailbox (non-USPS deliveries are not supposed to use your mailbox, so the Amazon driver may have just picked the closest option in their app). Or it might be somewhere else in your yard, or it might be lost...

Thats nothing.

Received a notification my package had been delivered. Looked at the tracking. It said it was "Left in a safe place." No kidding. It said that. I looked all around my house and could not find it.

The next day the neighbor across the street delivered it letting us know they found in the bushes in the their yard when they went for the paper in the AM.

Safe place. Yeah.

It means you have a sloppy or perhaps dishonest delivery person. It is common for package status to get "updated prematurely." That is what amazon actually calls it, or something similar. My order for N95 masks that was "delivered" last week never showed up, and Amazon put in an order for a replacement, no questions asked.

If you on the block with any apartment buildings/businesses… You might check there. They are also supposed to take a photograph with every delivery. Check the tracking specifics.

It was probably delivered properly.

The drivers select from a list in an app. Sometimes they pick an option randomly.

Give the delivery guy a little leeway on this one. Imagine having so little time to make so many deliveries that you never meet your quotas and always have to keep a pee-bottle in your car.

I had one "delivered" along with a picture of it sitting on top of someone else's mailbox.

If it traveled through Los Angeles by rail recently, you won't be getting it. Organized raids on rail cars.

wouldn't want to inconvenience criminals by charging them, would we?

And how a driver can't find the right address with GPS on either a tablet or phone is unreal.
