NFL Wildcard Weekend - Day 2
Posted by: Ombligo

Danny thread was getting buried and besides it was yesterday...

Bucs are going through the Eagles easily. Three scores in three possessions.

Interesting factoid posted a few minutes ago -- Tom Brady has played in more postseason games than all of the other teams' QB's combined.

I felt like a gen Xer afraid of becoming their parents from the Progressive commercial today. I exited the game before the 3 quarter.

I don't see Hurts being the Eagles starting QB next season. Geeez, he couldn't
complete a pass of 20yds or more. He should really commit to off season
pro training like QBE or Manning Passing Academy.

Some questionable calls there by the refs-hell of a way for a team to lose...

Yeah, but the Cowboys showed up this year. They could have won this game. The Niners had a great second half this season. They're on a roll.

Exactly the reason the Cowboys could not afford a slow start. All of the winnable games they lost this year were from slow starts.

I'm now rooting for the Squeelers to destroy the Chiefs. But not for Pittsburgh,
I want to see Big Ben's dreams crushed next week by Josh or Joe.

Pardon my ignorance, but I don’t understand why the ref felt he had to force his way to the ball to touch it. Couldn’t he have just stopped the clock for a few seconds?

4th down with seconds left and the coach calls a quarterback draw? Are you kidding?

Da rules is da rules... ref's gotta "set" the play, ASAP, to make it official; and setting da play means putting da ball in its "official" position to start the play. Usually it's not a problem, but da 'boys/da Dak went too far down the field for the ref/ump to get to da ball as fast as da 'boys needed to spike it. Gotta be judicious w/ your TO's, so ya have one for just such a sitch.

I don't think spiking should be allowed or even how it came into being. They're just a "free" time out.

And right now, Pittsburgh doesn't seem like they should even be on the same field with KC. Terrible defense-pass protection is ridiculous.

Ben was right. Stillers have no business being on the same field with KC tonight.

Horrible.
