Have you held the option key down when you clicked the "Scaled" button to see all of the resolution options in the Displays pref's?

Agreed. They did away with File: Save As... but the Option key exposes it again.Quote

Why does Apple expect one have to hold option down to get more options? How would any user at my level or lower know this?

That whole file naming change has been a disaster for the user. It made no sense.
A developer at PANIC suggested they did it for Spotlight reasons. I never understood it.
