Monthly Actual*
HBO Max 15.00 *free w/ATT Cellular/Internet service
Netflix 15.00
Peacock 10.00
Amazon 9.08 *109 annual
Disney+ 5.75 * 69 annual
Hulu 6.99

Monthly 61.82
but Not Counting HBO, 46.82

Been thinking about adding Youtube Premium with No Ads
Youtube 11.99

Most cable services START at $65, so I think I've got a good bargain.

Maybe deduct some of the Amazon that goes for "free" shipping?

Google/YouTube announced this week that they were going to stop making "Originals" productions for YouTube Premium, excepting some kid-shows. So, you can probably strike that (potential) subscription with no loss.

Don't see your internet cost in there...

AppleTV+ $5
Hulu $1
Amazon $9
Disney $7, dropping after we catch up on a couple series
HBOMax ad free $7.50, dropping when promo runs out
Spectrum Streaming App $20, dropping soon, don't watch it enough to justify it

$49.50 total
Plus $75/month for internet service.

We watch OTA and PlutoTV probably more than all those combined.

If you have a Roku TV or Device I suggest you download the app Free2View. It has some really good channels on it.

Free2View TV Select Channels available, he's added more since this article.

We cut the cable and landline phone cord in August of 2021, my wife told me just a few weeks ago she'd never go back to cable.

Netflix $14.93
Hulu/Disney $21.39
Philo $17.03
Prime $9.91
Apple One $31.60

Although the Apple One is everything. Fitness. Music. News. TV. Etc. So it's a little more bang for the buck. And obviously I use Prime mostly for shipping. The TV/Movie part is the perk. Not the other way round.

I’ll figure mine later, but FYI, Netflix has just raised prices and Amazon Prime is also reportedly prepping a price hike.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Apple TV+
Amazon Prime
Netflix streaming

And I still have a Spectrum cable box w/internet that costs $169. per month. The others are what they are after the price increases.

I'm waiting for Apple TV+ to grow, but there isn't much there I want to watch.

Prime and Netflix are continually upping their price, and I don't feel like watching TV all the time. I may put in 2-3 hours when I retire to my home office before hitting the rack.

I'm ready to kill a few of those services above. Not because I can't afford them, I just don't see the value with my TV watching habits.

I've actually thought about upgrading to YouTube Premium so no ads. The majority of what I watch on my TV at home (other than movies) is YouTube. And I hate HATE ads.

Still paying for the cable TV bundle with 220 channels - mostly for live sports and the lifelong channel surfing behavior of turning on the TV set and flipping channels until you find a show you like, waiting for a commercial, finding another show you like, then flipping between the two during commercial breaks. Often one of those two is a movie we have on disc...

So that's up to $186 from Comcastic Xfinity. Internet would be $50, so $130ish.
Plus $60-90ish for 5 phones with Xfinity Mobile.
Netflix $15.50 for the "standard" plan
Disney+ $7
Hulu $0.99 (and ONLY because it was a special 99 cent for a year deal)
Amazon Prime ?? how are we calculating that?
Twitch $5
Spotify $10 (might be switched price of Twitch vs Spotify...)

For a while in 2020 we had Sling for $45 and maybe an extra $5 channel ?

Accidentally paid $5 for Apple TV+ when the free 3-month subscription after our new Apple device expired...

So for actual content, the monthly cost we are actively paying for is (I'm excluding AMZ Prime Video because I think I would NOT be paying for it if it were not bundled)

Roundish number $168.

Similar to gabster, I'm still on a cable TV package. I have U200 from AT&T U-Verse and with 30/6 internet it comes out to about $144/month. That's $20-$40 more per month than I'd like to be paying, but that's the best I could get.

The only streaming I have is the $0.99/month Hulu special. I keep thinking about and looking at more streaming and possibly dropping cable, but I like the convenience of just turning on the TV. Also, I don't have time to watch all of the TV I have now on my DVR.
