Re: [forums.macresource.com]

I was at the MidAmerican Truck Show in Louisville, KY Friday and Saturday, finishing up research for my thesis and documentary. This was the first time that I've really gotten to play with the wife's Digital Rebel, so I thought that I would share some of my results.

These have yet to be worked on in PhotoShop, just some quick editing in iPhoto. Enjoy!

Mr. Lahey: A lot of people, don’t know how to drink. They drink against the grain of the liquor. And when you drink against the grain of the liquor? You lose.

Randy: What the @#$%& are you talking about?

blu, I don't have much interest in big rigs (except Salma or Pammie) and would probably not attend a big truck show (unless Salma or Pammie wanted to be my escorts).

But I enjoyed the slideshow nonetheless. Nice perspective of the beasts, and I like that you included the truckers' mudflap/hood ornament.

Thanks for the link!

I want to know how RAM made a post using the words Pammie and Salma and beasts without a slip of the keyboard and subsequent edit.

Nice picts!

I drive by the Fairgrounds to and from work each day and usually see the shows setting up, but I sure missed seeing THIS show setting up. It's interesting to see the rigs, or the campers, or farm equipment all lining up getting washed and polished as a show is about to start.

In the trivia department. Had you taken those on Saturday afternoon you'd have had sunny, partly cloudy skies, increasing the contrast problems. The photo of the exhaust pipes are probably more dramatic with the dark clouds above than it would have been with blue skies!

Yah, I took off Saturday shortly after noon. Too many people around and it was getting pretty warm for having only slept a few hours the night before. Most of the shots I got with the point-and-shoot were from Saturday morning and that shows in the color.
