Saw a blueish/greenish-gray* Rivian truck in the wild yesterday. It was my first.
Of all things, it was in the Ikea parking lot in Carson, CA, parked next to the dumpster enclosure.....,
even though there was ample parking throughout mega-box complex.
It was almost like it was trying to hide for some reason...... hmmmm.



*I had my sunglasses on, so exact color identification was difficult. It was too dark and grayish hued to be Rivian Blue,
so unless it was a prototype color, I'm thinking Launch Green, Forest Green, or possibly El Cap Granite, with an even
slighter chance of Limestone. I know, useless without pics, and I so wanted to snag one; but spousal unit had control
of my phone, and I was about to incur her wrath, so my better judgment made me keep driving.

Ive seen a few, one even going over the grapevine in So Calf. spotted this one a month ago in Roseville CA, outside a HD -- no paper plates, so had it least 2 months to get real plates.

I just watched all of the episodes of “Long Way Up” on Apple TV, and the two Rivians were the best part of the series. (Sadly they were the only good part, I am officially so over Ewan and Charlie.) By contrast, Noraly and her “Itchy Boots” videos on YouTube are absolutely fantastic.

First time I saw one was a year or more ago, on the road leading to my house. It was going very slow and I was stuck behind it for 2-3 miles, and at the time was wondering what kind of vehicle it was.

I now frequently drive past their Palo Alto offices, and there's a large parking lot with lots of them parked there.

She's a different deal than the Long Way Up boys, apples and oranges.

Ewan and Charley don't really impress me, still, I enjoyed seeing the trip on Live Wires with the Rivian 'support' vehicles.
