and I found it, on the street, this afternoon. $250 cash still in it, wet of course. Driver's license, 4 credit cards, health insurance and covid vaccine card all in it. Wife took a walk after I lost it and she didn't see it. I assume most people also didn't see it.

there are no pending charges on a few accounts I checked.

Not me. If the cash was still there, chances are no one even noticed it.

You can always cancel it when fraudulent charges appear.

I'd be impressed by the thief that took the cards and carefully placed them back.

I might cancel a debit card or any card tied to your bank account just to be ultra safe as those don't have the same protections as a credit card but I wouldn't do anything else.

A well-equipped thief would have taken photos of the cards with their smartphone.

I agree with this.

I wouldn't cancel them but I would keep an eye for fraudulent charges and cancel if anything looks fishy.
