I grew up with Chips Ahoy in the house. It's got a certain texture that I love. Other cookies are somehow not the same. Kinda like how Thomas English muffins have a unique texture.

Sorry to hear that man. 20 yrs is a pretty good run though!

I would like to have someone that bakes a lot of cookies compare the Hilton/DoubleTree recipe to baking Costco cookie batter at home. I think Costco is pretty good fresh baked compared to the hassle of buying ingredients that don't all get consumed at the same rate, but my lack of taste/smell could be affecting my opinion. I generally can't taste any cheap/fake ingredients and even some legendary ones just leave me Meh, like the Kirkland $$$ Pure Vanilla.
