NFL wrapup

This postseason has been what the league has been seeking since the original NFL/AFL merger; it commingled parity with exciting finishes with star (read quarterback) power.

From a viewers prospective, it could not have been more entertaining. From a sports perspective they need to fix the overtime thing but generally fans have little (ticket prices excepted) to complain about.

Long term prospects with marriage to gambling could prove problematic but for now it seems they've achieved a balance other sports leagues could only hope to achieve and these titans of industry did it using socialist principals - shared income combined with taxpayer subsidies.

I'm glad the players were able to get off the plantation!

"I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. It would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it." - Billy Graham 1981

"Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise" - Barry Goldwater
