Verizon's "5G" is nothing more than 4G lately. Supposed to be 'on' in my area. Yeah, no. It's not.

I've gotten a few "letters" from them trying to get me to sign up for 5G internet.

I doubt if I'd see 5G, but I think I'll give Comcrap a call and tell them that I'm considering switching to the $50 per month internet plan.

Maybe I can negotiate my plan down in price.

Much (MOST?) of Verizon's "5G" is vaporware if you're NOT in a major metropolitan area AND within spitting distance of a Verizon 5G tower. I expect it will be YEARS before Verizon has TRUE 5G service on a nationwide basis.

Most of every carrier's alleged "5G coverage" is marketing BS. We'll be well into 2023, at best, before it has a significant footprint.

what they both said.

heres a nice long read: [www.pcmag.com]

Verizon has a slower "nationwide" 5G based on shared 4G channels, mid-band 5G in 46 metro areas, and fast, high-band 5G in more than 60 cities, with online coverage maps here. (As of this writing, the maps don't show the mid-band coverage, but Verizon says they will soon.)

As I said back in 2019, you won't see anything but incremental speed increases until 2023.

The power increases that caused airline apoplexy starting in this January are just one step of several to improve speed and coverage.

Check out Visible. Get in a Party Pay group (easy to find) and it's $25/month, flat, no taxes or add ons, for unlimited everything.
