Time to ask about iPhone screens and icons again.

It's phone housekeeping time again.

Has anyone come up with a way of rearranging icons on screens on the iPhone other than that horrible 'shake and drag' method? It used to be so easy with the old iTunes, but that hasn't been an option for a while. I've been living with too much randomness and it's annoying. I'd like to eliminate some apps and icons and arrange the remaining ones somewhat logically on the phone's screens. But invariably, when you delete one, the others shift over and screw everything up in terms of order. I'd have thought by now someone would come up with a better way. Or am I the only one bothered by this?

It used to be easier to rearrange them on the desktop but i haven't tried to do that in years so i don't know if you still can.

Apple has NEVER had a GOOD way of organizing Apps; especially if you had a lot of Apps. I'll agree that the "old" iTunes was better than nothing but, not by much. angry villagers smiley

Ditto.

It appears they aren't at all interesting in providing a solution.

What makes it worse, every time I upgrade the iOS/ipadOS, it changes my main home screen.

It's a lot of tedious work to get it back.

That made so much sense.

Shame Apple took it away. It was so logical to be able to manage the layout via iTunes.

Surprised no one has created a App to bring it back....

Luckily, that doesn't happen to us. It would really irritate me if it happened. If it happened to my wife she'd never upgrade iOS!!!
