I, and others here, got a settlement e-check for the Milk debacle recently. I got a “virtual” Debit Master Card for $18.90. I’m having a devil of a time trying to use said “e-funds”. I’ve tried using it at Amazon as partial payment and at Walmart. No joy. Have any recipients here had better luck?

Back in January I got my virtual card for $18.90 and I was able to use it at Amazon. I should clarify that. I added it to my payment methods under Payments, then used it to reload my Amazon balance. I don't think I could have used it directly.

The first payment could be taken as an Amazon gift card directly, wish they had done the same for the second. Jumping through hoops to use it is a pain.

I tried adding to my Amazon account with Discover Card as a back up. Amazon would NOT process that order. In Walmart, I tried to buy their Gift Card but was told I HAD to have a physical card (which had been an option from the Milk Settlement BUT, I'd have to lose ~ $7 to have a physical card mailed to me. I'll try the Amazon route again. THANKS for the helpful advice!

Yeah, you can’t use it as a payment method, but have to buy a gift card for yourself.
