buying discontinued furniture?

Way back in 2009 I bought a bedroom set but due to space only bought a single nightstand. Now I'd like to get a second and of course the line has been discontinue and I can't find anyone selling it. Are there places to purchase discontinued/used furniture? I tried eBay with no luck. It's an Aspen Aspen 4 Drawer Nightstand AS74-450.

Check if they have "warehouse clearance Items" or something similar associated with that brand "laying around" somewhere. Maybe by some furniture stores that carried that line. Inquire with that company (Aspen?) as to who does or who did carry that line.

I had that experience with two endtables purchased a long time ago. Shortly after the initial purchase I went looking for the matching coffee table only to find the line was "discontinued". RATS!

Several months later the furniture store had a "warehouse sale" and lo and behold, there's "my coffee table", bruised a little from a rubber lift truck tire but otherwise in restorable shape. Solved that problem but very, very lucky.

That of course is a very "long shot" but worth an inquiry try. Good luck, but that 13 year long gap from your purchase date doesn't seem like it can be overcome. Sorry to be so pessimistic.

You might try Wayfair.com and its ilk.

Mr. Downtown, I saw that page as well. This morning it said "two available" but had no purchase button. So I called and asked. They didn't have anything. It appears they have changed the webpage to "This item is temporarily unavailable." If you had found the nightstand for sale that easy I would have been very very happy!

Found one with a reversed image on Google Lens. That led me to a couple similar entries. I don't think there will be much luck with this line of links. It looks like they all are catalog drop-shippers so won't have stock since it is out of production.

Thank you for the links you really went all out to help me! Unfortunately each of them is just a place to order product and they don’t have any stock at all. So none of them were able to order what I wanted and even if they could have most of them said they wouldn’t ship. I think I made a mistake in not buying it sooner. I’ll have to get a non-matching nightstand.

Ok, so I need to buy a non-matching nightstand. Opinion time. First what is on my wife's side of the bed and then my options...

Maybe consider a new matched pair of night stands.

everyone does understand that furniture doesn't have to match, right?

unless you must have your bedroom looking like a page from a catalog.

neither do kitchen appliances have to match...mine have white, black, and SS finishes.

I would buy a pair that looks good with the rest of the furniture and move the old one.

Might be easier to change the wife than to change the nightstand........

My kitten only uses the waffle iron, never the stove.
