Falcons WR suspended all next season for betting on NFL games

Not the first player and won’t be the last. He posted a responses to being suspended that included the term “LOL”. He is kidding himself if he thinks his earning potential will be what it was when he comes back. Teams will have to take a long look at him because he will have missed 2 seasons for metal health issues and gambling. I’ll cut the guy slack for mental health issues but gambling on the NFL as a player is just not smart. My man, you only have so many years that your body will make peak money for you. Hope you realize that.

The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver has been suspended indefinitely through at least the 2022 season for betting on games during the 2021 season, the league announced Monday. He can apply for reinstatement no sooner than Feb. 15, 2023.

Ridley missed the final 11 games of the 2021 season due to mental health reasons.

After an investigation, the league found no evidence suggesting that Ridley gambled on games that he played in.

"The activity took place during a five-day period in late November while Ridley was not with the team and was away from the club's facility on the non-football illness list," the league said in a statement.

Although, your title is way more descriptive.

Mr. Lahey: A lot of people, don’t know how to drink. They drink against the grain of the liquor. And when you drink against the grain of the liquor? You lose.

Randy: What the @#$%& are you talking about?

Calvin Ridley's 2022 season is over before it even started.

Perhaps I am wrong, but young Mr. Ridley's NFL career maybe over.

Only one season (at a minimum)? Pete Rose would like "in" on that deal.

I only see him getting league minim deal with incentives for performance with little guaranteed money. The league moves right by you if you stand by long enough.
