“ After weeks of negotiations, in one of the biggest trades in NFL history, the Denver Broncos have agreed to send a significant package of players and draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson, sources told ESPN.

The Broncos have agreed to trade quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick to the Seahawks for Wilson and a fourth-round pick, sources said.

The trade gives Denver the quarterback it has sought since Peyton Manning retired, and it gives Seattle a foundation on which to rebuild without the quarterback who led the Seahawks to their only Super Bowl title.

Upon Wilson's approval to waive his no-trade clause, the Seahawks will send him to Denver, ending his historic 10-season run in Seattle that included nine Pro Bowl selections, one Super Bowl title and more wins than any quarterback ever has posted during his first 10 seasons in the league.

Wilson also will have to pass a physical. The trade can't be officially announced until Wednesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. ET, which is the start of the 2022 league year. “

Wilson is not aging as well as Tom. Brady . When I watched a couple games last year the announcer was showing what he did on certain plays a. few years ago . wasn't able to do it . Slow progression down hill . Thought the best thing for Seahawks to do long term was trade while still had value .

One of the notable things about Wilson to me is he is one slippery player. He was tough to get a clean hit on or bring down. Last season, I saw him take some hits that the younger Wilson would have slipped. I cannot recall the game but there were two moments where I audibly said, "Whoa!". He will still chuck the ball around. He is going to need more help in the running game.

Russell Wilson is the real deal on and off the field. He's made his team and its city proud.

His departure had the feeling of inevitability throughout this past dismal season, especially after the finger injury from which he never fully recovered.

So I wish him the best in Denver. He deserves everything good.

Pete Wilson could see the 2013 Seahawks in 2010, when he arrived in Seattle and replaced nearly every position. Pete plays the long game. I'm not worried.

I'm a forever fan of Russell and Ciara. He's a standup guy. I'm a longtime Pete Carroll fan from his USC days. He still does gang intervention and truces. Why his players work so hard for him.

Never did I state that I don’t like him. I said, outside of Seattle, some view his social media as a negative thing. I personally don’t care what he does in his free time.
