In a jam! Need printer like yesterday!

Wife is trying to printout shipping labels and the Epson WF-4630 appears to be suddenly and hopelessly clogged. Need something tomorrow and it seems there's a shortage of printers, like everything else in the world. A couple shipments are are going to be a day late.

What do you all recommend, Brother or what? This printer hasn't been much trouble but it giving us hell right now.

I can't find a cheap Brother within 125 miles.

I can get this 45 minutes away for $218, any good?

Yes, there's a printer-shortage. It's mostly affecting supplies of the better all-in-ones and those useful for designers.

Hit your local Staples/Depot store and you should find a nice low-end laser at an almost reasonable price. HP and Brother both work well with Macs. (But be wary of the latest HP driver installer. Better to use the built-in generic PCL driver or Airprint.)

I've had very good luck buying used HP workgroup printers with low page counts on craigslist.

It's down to one item, they were able to scan the others, she just got back from the PO. One being a day late isn't too big of a deal. She does next day shipping on her items.

do you have a staples near by? I have had good luck with Brother printers (and AIOs)- and Staples has next day shipping for me (or pick-up in an hour).

Found a trick using Windex (IIRC) put into the bleed tray where the ink-jets do their cleaning process. Was able to revive an Epson Nx40 that would not unclog.

I see a bunch of stuff Pro and Con online, but it worked for me Printer is still working now and seems to not clog as often as before (did this a couple of years ago).

HOW many labels do you need? A UPS Store will, FOR A FEE, print shipping labels.

Might just serve your IMMEDIATE needs which could allow you some breathing room to get the printer you would WANT to buy.

I assume it is all the new at-home offices set up in the past 2 years.

That's a 2+ decade old Epson problem solver right there. My old boss was fascinated.

A library, business, or professional’s office might print the labels.
