I am thinking of getting a stretchy watch band for my new AW SE.
I see there are lots on Amazon. Does anyone have one they can recommend?

I don't have a stretchy band, but recently got a couple alternate bands and looked around, gathering a few pointers. The Apple braided loop eventually stretches. Some people didn't like that, others initially bought it overly tight and as it stretched a bit were pleased. I don't know how stretchy it might be, but I saw people who really liked the Solo Loop (mine came with Solo Band). The Chinese alibaba el al. bands were hit and miss, so I didn't go that route yet. Another interesting point I saw was that Apple bands are fluoroelastomer, not just silicone. I saw one vendor, maybe Nomad(?) that offered fluoroelastomer.

The alternates I got started with the $15 Amazon pair of milanese knock-offs that a member posted here. I used one for a few weeks and it was good and I was satisfied. But I eventually swapped it out for practical considerations (magnets tanging with metal band, potential to scratch things, etc.). Then I got a couple Barton bands. Silicone and Cordura/Silicone hybrid I saw on Wirecutter. Cordura has been in use since I got it, I like it, though nothing special. I didn't really like the silicone, it got to much food particulate stuck to it working in the kitchen, stopped using it.

I'll probably get a braided loop or Solo band from Apple next. Best of Luck!

I haven't seen a stretchy band, but love my Sport Loop — the one with a sort of Velcro fastening that's really much nicer than actual Velcro (flatter "hooks" and stronger connection that holds very well but releases easily). It's soft, comfortable and breathable, not scratchy at all. Goes on and off very easily, and I like it adjusts perfectly to my fairly small wrist. Even though it's some sort of fabric, it handles sweat and moisture well and never seems to build up any odors. I will say that if completely soaked (as in a pool or bath) it takes longer to dry than a metal or plastic band would.

What kind came with your new watch? Good luck finding one you like!

When I got mine, I just got it with whatever band it came with thinking I'd get the one I wanted later. It was a Sport Loop, and I have to say I am super happy with it. Way more than I thought I'd be. I've had no reason to even look for another band.

Mine came with the sport band, which is the two piece silicone one.
It is fine, but I think I would like one I could just pull on and off rather than having to buckle
The solo loop looks interesting. I might try a cheap Amazon version of that.

I've bought a lot of bands on e-bay for fractions of what you pay on Apple or even Amazon. Far more styles and colors than you can get elsewhere and quality is good

I got my mom some "scrunchy" style watch bands from Amazon. She seems to like them.

Like these:

The solo loop looks interesting.

I've got an Apple Solo Loop band.

It takes a bit of a stretch to get in one.

First, you have to measure your wrist to get an appropriate sized band.

Ideally, one has big wrists and small hands, because it isn't like putting on a watch with a Speidel Twist-o-Flex band.

Repeating — it takes a bit of a stretch to get in one.

My wrist is good sized, but my hands are bigger, and I got tired of working the band on and off my wrist.

There are reports that these eventually stretch and don't completely return to original size, but I didn't notice that in six+ months of daily wear.

My favorite bands are the Apple Sport Loops as they always fit well and can be easily and quickly adjusted as the day demands.

I've got a lot of Apple Sport bands but there are times when they can't be adjusted juuuuuust right, and are either a little loose or a little tight.

If the holes were spaced a little more closely together, that problem would be fixed.

Still, they're fine, 95% of the time.
