Any music that's like Celtic meets The Beach Boys?

We're having a little St. Paddy's Day party with some friends but we have a side theme as some neighbor's, who usually spend March and April in Florida, can't go this year. They have had some bad luck with physical issues and decided they weren't well enough to go.

To be precise, it started when they were driving down last year and stopped to visit friends in northern FL and usually stay 2-3 days before heading to their condo. Well, that ended up being three weeks! She started feeling poorly and that became a nasty kidney infection...

Then, last Fall they were at their daughter's and were walking the dog when she slipped on some mud and rolled down an embankment and tore her tendon that attaches to her kneecap (as a side note, the forum censor blocked the medical term for it)! So she was in a cast with her leg straight for a few months and even now she has a bit of a limp.

Then, when she can finally drive again (hubby has been driving her everywhere), hubby falls while playing pickleball, and breaks his hip! Now, she has to drive everywhere!

Last, but not least, just as hubby healing up, he contracts shingles! And it's bad. On his head and around his eyes! He's been miserable...

So, to make a long story even longer... We feel bad that they couldn't escape the MIchigan Winter for awhile so we're going to do a Tropical theme-my wife bought even a little sandbox so our friend can put her feet in warm sand!-and combine it with St. Patrick's.

I'm tasked with getting some tunes together for it and would like some Celtic tunes that aren't standard Celtic tunes. Rock 'n Roll-ish Irish stuff (no, not U2!)?

I'm going to mix Tropical/Beach/Celtic/Irish. Does this august forum have any suggestions?

A little break from the grief...

Maybe some of the music used in the various Riverdance productions of yore?

Maybe check out the Corrs, too.

Young Dubliners perhaps.

Dropkick Murphys if you want something harder.

Lots of Youtube videos of both.

Agreed about the Corrs, I would have added maybe some of The Cranberries and perhaps Enya, depending on what the tastes are.

LOL I though of the Murphs and immediately dismissed them as being too hard.

I'm not sure this is exactly what you're looking for, but it's in the general area and fits the spirit of your request as I understand it. These guys are Finnish, not any variety of Celtic, but they do play classic rock songs on traditional acoustic instruments: Steve 'N' Seagulls

Has anyone come across a Celtic version of “Good Vibrations”?

I’ve always thought that would be astonishingly good.

My St Patty's day playlist mostly consists of:

Dropkick Murphys
Flogging Molly
The Pogues

An old friend was in a local band, The Bog Hoppers. Fun music that might kind of fit the bill
