don't be a jerk. I really miss my darkroom time both in school, and at my old job.

a 4x5 transparency is glorious.

You remind me that I've got a bunch of sheets of 4x5 undeveloped!

One of my great local auction gets was a cache of darkroom chemistry that I've yet to mix after a couple of years.

I thought that video was very informative. Note that part 1 is 56 minutes. Haven’t watched parts 2 or 3 yet.

Did you find links to them? I've looked and I'm not sure if they've been posted yet. I'd sit through another two hours of this to see the production process from start to finish.

It would also have been interesting if for each step of the process they mentioned what year they first started doing that step this way, and how long this factory has been running the way it's currently configured.

wait, I was expecting old footage but they wear covid masks so it must be new. Is Kodak still making film these days? Honestly Though they closed the factory years ago.

Parts 2 and 3 haven't been released yet. This video just came out a few days ago.

From the map, it looks like the Kodak campus I visited is mostly rebuilt.

There's a Kodak museum in Rochester? I'm going next time I drive through that area!

They still make film. Two days ago the consumer-grade Gold 200 was announced for 120 cameras.

Just a very reduced catalog of products. But those they make still make money.

In Rochester, NY there is also the Eastman Museum that’s very impressive. At the museum, there’s also an expansive technology vault - but you need special permission to visit the vault.
