Supercar, done with “supermarionation”:
British kids show, made ‘61-62, but I’m sure I saw it after ‘62, when it was later syndicated in the states.

I remember another show for little kids called Romper Room that I enjoyed, and recall being fascinated that the teacher would draw on a large easel tablet and could make pictures out of kids' initial letters. I was desperate to own the big crayon or marker she used, that made such bold, black lines!
My mom watched Jack Lalanne, too. And didn't Liberace have his own show? I remember sitting with my grandmother as he played music on a big piano with the candelabra.
I also watched Captain Kangaroo, but can't pinpoint exactly which show came first. Those memories have become pretty muddled.

Sesame Street, but that doesn't say much.
I do recall some Captain Kangaroo, and then locking the babysitter in the basement!

Geeze, I wish I could remember that far back.
Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airman was the country music band.
Commando Cody was a favorite of mine, but it was far from my first memory of a TV show.
King of the Rocket Men was the first I saw of Cody or what led to later iterations that becamee Cody.
There were two more Commando serials, the first being my favorite — Radar Men from the Moon.
The second was Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe.
Also Zombies of the Stratosphere but that was a movie serial and I don't know if it ever made it to TV.
The helmet and flying 'suit' were used in a number of shows and films and got really confusing.
But the whole thing was great fun because it was a human who could fly, and not some alien from an exploded world.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I think it was a western that I watched in a dark room with a roomful of people at the neighbor's house on a summer evening — first TV in the neighborhood. I also vaguely remember watching Flash Gordon — I'vee been watching for those episodes ever since.

Memories…
I loved Topo Gigio and remember seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.
As an adult, I got to see in person the spot Andy and Opie walked down during the opening.
Captain Kangaroo’s advice about strangers literally kept me from being kidnapped and assaulted in kindergarten.
Almost got to be the “Butchy Boy” of the day on our local Bozo the Clown show, but when I stood up after my name was drawn, there was a quick huddled meeting by (I assume now) the director. I distinctly remember hearing the word “colored”. Then I found out a “mistake” had been made and was sent back to my seat with what seemed like a hell of a lot of candy, so it was all good with me.
