A few years ago I had Axis also. It was scratched and it skipped even tho when I played it, I had a sapphire stylus weighted at a 1/4 gram, and a guy still gave me $10 for it! I think he wanted the cover actually as I took great care when I stored my vinyl LPs...

Yes. Vinyl has outsold CDs for the past few years. There are a few reasons, but audio quality is way up there.

I've got a Pioneer PL-530 that's been in waiting for about 15 or 20 years for me to go through it. We lost the best Turntable expert there was years ago. I used to email him questions every now and then.

Sell it, and buy one of these like I did. You'll have a modern belt drive turntable and $600 in your pocket. The interesting thing about this turntable is that it doesn't have a suspended subchassis. Technology marches on, even for analog audio.
