I'm looking at a 10-day small boat (~30 passengers) cruise on the Upper Amazon for either 2023 or 24. Has anyone ever been? What were your impressions?

We'll likely tie it to visiting Machu Pichu for a few days.

My daughter went to Machu Pichu a few years ago. She really liked it, but the bugs bites can be very bad, if you are hiking. Her ankles got attacked and she had to go to the doc, after she got back. Other people who were hiking with her also had the bad bug bite problem. Treat the ankles with spray and wear longer socks. Lol
If you are prone to altitude sickness take the meds like two days before.

I don’t know anything about the Amazon part of your plans, but I’ll bet it would be very interesting.
