On vaca in a house rental in OBX. My phone had no trouble joining the wifi here.
Nobody else had trouble either. My M1 Air, lastest updates, won’t join. It will allow me to select the wifi, once, when I do there is no option to enter password. Goes directly to ‘can not join’.
If I restart, it will allow another attempt, same results.
Not understanding why I don’t get the chance to plug in a password, my lowly iPhone 7 had no problem, wife’s iPad no problem, other guests in the house, mix of iOS and Android, no problem.

is the router accessible? try unplugging power, let it sit for a few seconds, then plug it back in. Sometimes routers can get wonky and prevent connections on random devices for no good reason.
