maybe a great time to start an iCloud backup. 50 GB @ 99¢/mo and you do nothing... just turn it on and let it run.
Full phone backup with everything. Lose, drop, break your iPhone, restoring from iCloud is like it never even happened...
Is the goal to save space? Are you out of space? or just backup?
There are other options for automatic photo upload to the cloud for safekeeping...

iCloud was the only way I ever figured out for getting photos from iPhone to Mac…I sure wish I could figure out some easier way…I feel like I'm still in 1978

use AirDrop
Always just says "No People Found: There is no one nearby to share with."

I have a couple Apple subscriptions along with the 50G iCloud subscription.
Can I direct that to my Apple Cash card, and keep the other subscriptions to my Apple Card?
I don't make enough monthly cash to cover the other subscriptions, and I do like seeing the Apple Cash build up.

Still unsure why you want the photos off the phone... unless you are totally out of storage?

^Not sure where to find any settings on the Mac. AirDrop doesn't seem to be in System Preferences. AirDrop shows up in the Finder sidebar, but then what? Get Info produces nothing.
