.....as director and executive producer of the reboot....exact nature of allegations are not specified but they seem to include verbal outbursts and inappropriate behavior [ there were multiple allegations - Disney released this on Friday, after hours ]....

....this didn't come out of nowhere:

1) In 2018, actress Alley Mills came forward with claims that the cancellation of the original Wonder Years followed a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against her co-stars Savage (then 16) and Jason Hervey (then 20), which she said was settled out of court. Mills played their characters’ mother on the series.

2) The same year, a crew member on Savage’s Fox series The Grinder filed a lawsuit, accusing the actor of attacking and harassing her on the set of the series in 2015. At the time, Savage called the allegations “completely without merit and absolutely untrue,” while 20th Television, which produced the show, said that, after an investigation into the claims, it found no evidence of wrongdoing by Savage. That lawsuit also eventually was settled out of court.

Fred Savage Let Go From ‘Wonder Years’ Following Misconduct Investigation

Savage, who was a director and executive producer on the revived ABC series, was the subject of complaints regarding inappropriate conduct.

....Fred Savage has been let go from his roles as executive producer and director of ABC’s revived The Wonder Years following an investigation into misconduct.

Savage faced multiple allegations and cooperated with the investigation, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

“Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched,” Wonder Years producer 20th Television said in a statement. “Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.”

Though he’d dabbled as an actor in recent years, with starring roles on Fox’s The Grinder and Netflix’s Friends from College, he’s been considerably more active as a director over the last decade or two. He is the directing producer on The Wonder Years, which he has been intimately involved in from inception......

more details.......coming.......?!

More on the “Grinder” complaint.

”In March 2018, Youngjoo Hwang, a costumer on The Grinder, sued Savage and Fox, with claims including that he hit her arm and yelled at her not to touch him while she was dusting his outfit on set, and that he engendered a hostile environment for women. At the time, Fox shared a statement saying that a thorough investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing.”

In the allegations surrounding the original “Wonder Years”, Alley Mills actually defended Savage against the claims, which were made by her costumer.

”Mills, who played the show’s matriarch, says that while shooting in what would be the series finale in Whittier, Calif., the cast didn’t know if the show was going to be renewed. She said it was because of a “completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit that was going on against Fred Savage.” She goes on to say that Savage “is the least offensive, most wonderful, sweet human being that ever walked the face of the earth… ”

“… “Some innocent people can get caught up in this stuff. It’s very tricky. It was so not true,” she said. “It was my [costumer], and I don’t care if she’s listening.“

As mentioned, the current situation consists of three separate complaints and 20th Television appears to have acted fairly swiftly and decisively.

The bartender asks the rabbit "what'll ya have?"
The rabbit says "I dunno. I'm only here because of Autocorrect.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
