Being Shunned?

Awhile back MRF email notifications started showing up with glaring yellow warning alert notices from gmail; notices that they couldn't verify the sender so I'd better lock my pass words and maybe hide out. I ignored those. Later the notices stopped altogether but for a few that ended up in spam.

So as of now, I either apparently no longer exist to MRF or gmail has designated MRF an enemy of the state of RgrF and sanctioned it accordingly, next you know they'll be seizing my skiff.

Well now I can find them in the spam folder but still carrying that blaring yellow warning:

I must be missing something... what notifications do you get from MRF? Is it something you sign up for? I don't think I've ever gotten an email from MRF... at least not in the last 17 years or so that I've been a member.

I’ve only gotten an email when someone PM-ed me.

There's an option in the control center that triggers (or use to) emessages when a thread you're in has a new post. It's worked smoothly enough since I joined a decade or so ago. Now it's become weaponized (if you've seen Google alerts you'll know what I mean) and will cause panic to the unwary and insecure - since I check both those boxes it tends to put me on high alert or it would if I got the notifications I don't get.

I got those for a while and they just went away and never had any consequences, so it might not be anything to worry about.
