I thought it was going to be this incident this morning where a passenger was able to bring a vehicle to a safe stop in Florida after the driver suffered a medical emergency.

That was a gutsy thing for that woman to do.

Even idling, it takes a lot to stop a car.

Breaking a windshield doesn't make it easier to get to the woman.

Breaking a side window makes it easier to open a door.

Who GAF about cost.

I keep a spring-loaded center punch in the car which will open any window short of bullet resistant-glass.

One of those 'rescue' hammers are good, too.

That guy looks like he didn't break is hand or wrist, but he could have easily fractured it.

Small surface areas of curved glass such as in cars can be very tough to break with the wrong tools.

But they can be easily shattered with a ball bearing, should one happen to have one in their pocket.
