I think Picfair would work well for your friend. They have a free “store” membership available that allows you to display up to 50 images. You set your own price on the images you sell and they tack a fee on to your price of 20%. They are based out of the UK. [www.picfair.com]
I use their free store to host photos I take of my town and the surrounding area and usually post them to a town group on FB where residents share photos of the parks, town and critters that inhabit them over the four seasons. People started requesting to buy some of my images so I put some on Picfair. You can see what my store looks like here:

Those pics make me want to go to those places right now.
