looking at getting a second woodworker's workbench for a reloading station.
are their one-step-up welders any good? It's my understanding that pretty much any transformer/winding based device, and things like auto jumper cables, that aren't made in the US, and VERY expensive, use aluminum wires/cable for the winding and heavy cables. Good for short burst of current, but can't handle high steady current.
So, a decent 4 gauge jumper cable set made from copper cable, needs to be replaced with 0 gauge copper coated aluminum cable jumpers.
I'd ask my partner's brother, the master welder, but he is away on a sensitive contract, and doesn't have phone service there.
