new new streaming drive(s)

from the other day [forums.macresource.com]

I'm thinking 2x 2TB WD Blue 5400.
The price difference isn't very much whether 1x 4TB or 2x 2T, both 7200.
My thought is the 5400 might last longer from the reduced speed, and I'm a bit reluctant to stuff everything on 1 drive.
It's not like I want to have to use a b.u.

The media I'm streaming is mostly ALAC music and 720 video. A few 1080, no 4k.
Our TV is 4k, but I don't care that much.

Thoughts? Yes I've asked this before. Looking to see if anyone new or old feels differently today. 4TB would leave me about 1/2 a TB unused.

I'd do one 4TB.

Two 2TB will double the risk of loss of data from a failed drive vs one 4TB.
Although it makes logical sense, I'm not aware of life expectancy being different based on drive speed.
