Usually B&N is overpriced but this could be a good deal. . .only 1 free per order (but you can make multiple separate orders?)


NOTE: What makes this a deal is that buyers have had success buying 1 from the list and the 2nd free one (not on the list but it has to be a dvd tv show). . it becomes the free one (even though it says both have to be on the list). It was working but that may change. so for the FREE dvd you can pick one that is not on the list. . .like maybe Firefly?


Some possibilites from the list Stargate season 1, Bewitched season 1, Dark Shadows the revival (the 1991 short-lived version), Green acres season 1, Forever Knight 1, Charlies Angels season 1, Tabitha (the later spin-off from bewitched). . .all depending on your taste. I picked up the Firefly box set for $27 at Fry's earlier this evening -- not a bad deal.

It is what it is.

Not only did Firefly not go into my cart as a freebie after selecting another DVD, but it was priced at $31.95 when I added it to the cart and then showed up as $34.95 after I added it.

$31.48 is now the listed member price and $34.95 the non-member price.

Somebody is playing games with the pricing this morning.

You could have got Firefly for $20 at the evil empire Wal Mart.

I just tried it and it worked but I phrased it correctly. You pay for the one not on the list. . .the FREE one is the set from the list.


I placed Firefly and Stargate season 1 in the cart and Stargate was the FREE one.

So it still works but I think the one not on the list still has to be a TV dvd set.

I tried with Serenity and it didn't work.

so this would be $34.98 (plus tax) for Firefly and Stargate season 1 which comes out to about $17-$18 each.


It works with most dvd tv sets. . .I tried the emma peel megaset coming out soon with the bonus disc and it worked, Deadwood - worked, Buffy Chosen collection - worked, Wonderfalls - didn't work. ..I guess you have to try to see. .

UPDATE

You have to pick chose an ON LIST box set that is less than that the dvd set (not on the list) for it to work. . .
