First Jetsons type commute to work

On one hand, I wonder what that thing's eMPG is. Do we need to find ways to blow more energy? But then again, if we could eventually get rid of roads, etc. maybe it would be a good tradeoff. And maybe it will just be for rich folk to look down at the proles sitting in traffic. Pretty cool, but, "can you tow a horse trailer with it?" winking smiley

Unless it is completely autonomous, well over half the US population won't remotely be competent enough to fly one.

$92K, max speed about 60mph and it can barely remain in the air for 20 minutes on a full charge under ideal conditions.

It wouldn't get me to work.

Looks like a great way for the state to disperse any pesky political protestors.

Lower the nose, head toward the crowd & watch 'em all run screaming from the eight blades of death coming for them.

It would get me to work and back, maybe (20mi?). I bet it won't go 20mi at 60mph though. Probably wouldn't even save me any time, tbh.

They say anyone can drive it with 15 min. training, so probably a lot of computer aid (like a drone). I'm sure it will get better, but man, I wonder how much battery it takes to get that 20 min. flight. Seems extravagant.

Doesn't keep people from driving.

Autonomous systems are at about 1,000 body bags and counting but AFAIK that's just really market research collateral stuff.

Looks like it would be ideal for tree trimming.

15 minutes of training is going to get someone killed. When that happens Jetson is bankrupt.

Did parts of the video look like possible CGI to anyone else?

Yeah, the head-on looked really weird. Sometimes footage looks like that in Redbull adventure videos etc. though, so idk.

It looks like it would fit in a parking space.

Imagine several thousands of commuters in the air about the same time with only 15 minutes of training! No thanks.
