I’m a huge J.K. Simmons fan, and liked him in this no less than other roles, but the overall story was too convoluted without a strong enough hook.

Too many appearing and disappearing characters,seemingly disparate storylines that were obviously going to merge, but did so too slowly (for my taste, at least) and a mystery that just didn’t make me curious enough to keep coming back.

Simmons was the draw, but there wasn't enough to make me want to finish the series.
