Applebys next door not so much. I went to the Garden and can see why they are so busy. Customers packing their left overs out. The Garden supplies very nice cartons and bread sacks. Don’t know if you could do soup.

I will get 3 meals from my shrimp fettuccine .

Is Applebys worth a try???

When we first went to OG I wondered what all the fuss was about...salad & breadsticks were the only things I liked.

Over the years it seems their food has improved, at least as much as can happen at a chain.

I'd say the opposite happened. 30-odd years ago Olive Gardens were legitimately good. They made pasta from scratch right in front of the restaurant, and the sauces and such were also made in-house. They were worth traveling to eat at. Since then as they expanded the quality and quality control went down and down (same thing happened to Macaroni Grill and Maggiano's during their heyday and expansions). Now everything comes from a can or in frozen plastic bags and gets reheated before serving.

The cheese they sprinkle on everything has a slight tint of cocaine in it to make it addictive. Probably. Or the breadsticks.

Rarely go, when I do, I order the toasted ravioli, with a side of meatballs and marinara. Pretty good!

I was not impressed by the local Applebee's and its food when I tried it years ago, but can't tell if that was just local or common to all locations. If I am going to go to a chain restaurant, the regional chain of 99 Restaurants has a location about half a mile away from Applebee's.

Our Applebee's has had 3 chances with us and that was enough. Last time we walked out without even ordering. Poor service and short on food and this was long before Covid.
