It was good to see her laughing and smiling.

Absolutely loved this. And Brandi Carlisle did the perfect combination of accompanying and encouraging.

yeah, that is incredible, truly, given what she has lived through in the last decade or so.

Wynonna Judd really felt it, too!

And a pony in the river turning blue...

About a year ago, I found this version of her singing it on the Mama Cass show from 1969. Shows you how absolutely beautiful she was and how amazing her voice was in her prime.

I never really cared for that song when first heard, so I grew to really dislike it when it got massive airplay and she later became known only for it, with much if not all of her other work often ignored.

I'm not a huge fan, but can recall "Big Yellow Taxi", "Free Man in Paris", and "Help Me" getting quite a bit of airplay back in the day. I started watching more of her stuff on Youtube last year since she was a topic of conversation on another board I read (acoustic guitar forum) and people were posting links to videos. There was a video I can't find now (and may not have been on Youtube) of one of her first TV appearances when she was like 19. It was in black and white, but the video quality was really good. She is/was an amazing talent.

Ah, Big Yellow Taxi, aka Paved Paradise.

At least that's what I thought it was called, since big yellow taxi as mentioned only once, and paved paradise, like a dozen times.

I liked it a lot, so I may not have it's frequency on the airwaves.

Help Me was also a favorite of mine, but I don't remember Free Man in Paris getting much airplay out my way, but I like it a lot, as it was a bit more complex feeling than some of her popular stuff.

I really like her, and more of her music than a lot of other artists that I also like.

My two most very favorite cuts of hers are Woodstock and River.

Her voice is pure magic on both of those.

Late at night, lights out, headphones on, it's astral projection material for me.

I just watched the CBS Morning story a few minutes ago. [youtu.be]
I had been seeing a number of stories about her appearance and was really wondering how well she was given the major health issues she's had over the past years.

I had recently watched the Shadows and Light concert again, [youtu.be] a concert I had gone to at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, NYC on 8/25/1979. Such an amazing artist, I'm glad that she's finally been getting the appreciation and recognition she always deserved.
