We bought a couple of tickets today. Fully aware of the odds. And fully aware that we can't win if we don't play. We've bought tickets probably a dozen times and never won anything--but tonight's the night! We only buy when it gets over $500 million because who'd want to mess with less!!!

I was thinking about that. I think my threshold for the differences I want to see in my life and those I care about is $10 million. I mean, I could retire on $1 million, but for the life I want, the difference I want to make in the world, etc. it starts around $10 million.

I keep telling my kid near DC to head over to MD to buy.

I won't buy unless I'm down in SC where the last monster winning ticket was sold.

And I always add the multiplier...$5 million would be enough for me.

While I might consider a ticket just for entertainment purposes, the Mrs. is very adamantly against any such purchases no matter how small the amount. That would be one heck of an apology, though. "Honey, I accidentally won a billion dollars..."
